Brief description

Carter Karate Dojo, karate club in Reading, Berkshire , offering martial arts classes & lessons in traditional karate, utilising old values, traditions, etiquette and discipline. Not sport karate. Adults & children from 8 years of age and sometimes younger. Your family friendly karate club in Reading, Berkshire.

We are registered with the Governing Body for Traditional Karate in the UK the TKGB.

Any Specialist Products or Services?

At the Carter Karate Dojo we practice a type of karate called Shito-Ryu. A traditional style of karate founded by the late Okinawan master Kenwa Mabuni. We have a friendly family club to encourage and help you to learn. We DO NOT compete in sport karate. We try to promote and preserve the true essence of karate-do and its Okinawan/Japanese heritage.
