The Green Olive is a Meze restaruant, originally a civilised way of whetting the appetite the idea is that customers choose from an appetizing and varied selection of individual dishes while chatting and enjoying a drink. It has evolved into a relaxed andcasual way of dining. The enjoyment of Meze is in the sharing.

A cracking atmosphere

This lively and friendly Greek restaurant is ideally situated in the middle of town. It's not the biggest restaurant in the world, but has a small outdoor terraced area for smoking parties. For me, Greek food is all about Meze and the Green Olive does a superb job of this. For somewhere around fourteen quid a head, you will leave the restaurant vowing never to eat again! Despite the numerous dishes that appear, they are all of superb quality - leaving you wish that you were able to somehow persuade your stomach to give you a little more real estate.Waiting staff are all very friendly and efficient. This is probably one of the few Greek restaurants in Britain where I have felt a proper "local" Greek atmosphere.
