    Our fireplace was installed by the Fireplace Centre in November 2010, approximately 5 months before we actually moved into our property. The very first time we used the gas fire, for approximately an hour, the gas supply mechanism jammed and we were unable to turn the fire off. We had to get British Gas out at 11pm to disable the supply. I can forgive the faulty product, after all, these things happen. But what followed is just not acceptable. Despite having a 12 month warranty, the Fireplace Centre have fobbed us off for over 7 weeks now, ignoring multiple phone messages and repeatedly failing to return calls. A very polite lady called Jackie will very ocasionally answer the phone, but evidently is unable to do anything but pass on a message, which her manager Chris, will promptly ignore. Finally after 7 weeks of persistance, Jackie rang to inform me that Chris would come to the house to inspect the fire, but surprise surprise he failed to turn up at the appointed time, I had taken the morning off work for nothing, and their phone has been on voicemail ever since. Is this any way to run a business? I strongly advise anyone considering a purchase from teh Fireplace Centre to steer clear, they are an absolute disgrace.
