• No taste

  Expected a reasonable meal for two. Ordered the Prawn starter and the prawns were very waterery with no taste ast all. Ordered the chicken piri piri for main with chips & peas. No taste at all. Very very bland. Told the Waitress we could not eat the food and she only charge us £3.25 for the drinks. We will never go to this restaurant again. Staff = Very polite Food = Shocking

• Terrible as the title says

  I have given this restaurant 2 visits, on the first visit fish was ordered and the fish was not fresh and off colour. Due to the convienant placing to my house I gave it a 2nd chance, upon which I ordered a Steak MEDIUM, it was burnt!!! I will never go for a meal here again.

  The Mansion House has now become a Harvester restaurant. The Harvester is renowned for its spitroast chicken, which I always have when i visit!They have a free salad bar when ordering a main meal, the salad bar has the usual tomotates, lettuce, cold pasta salad, potato salad, sauces, etc.They have english food on the menu such as steaks, spitroast chicken,sc#mpi, burgers or you can have pastas, salads.They have an early bird special if you dine before 6.30pm mon-fri or 5pm sat you get a 1/3 off and on sundays they do sundays chicken where about 8 chicken meals they do are all only £6 which is a bargain conisdering you get the salad bar included!The harvester is definately a family restaurant and has quite a lively atmosphere. They have a bar one side of the restaurant if you wish to just go for a drink and they also have benches outside which leads onto prospect park.
