• Possibly the worst garage that I have ever been - misfortunate enough the use

  Titcombe Garages Membury Ltd trading as (24/7 Recovery) are possibly the worst garage that I have ever been - misfortunate enough the use. I would highly recommend that you stay well clear of this place unless you want your car returned with parts broken, missing or hanging off. Following a breakdown on the A34 just off the M4, my car was towed to this garage by the RAC. The RAC informed me that the garage was RAC approved and I was limited on options given that I was over 200 miles from home. All was well to start with; the garage provided me with a curtsy car to get home and completed the work relatively quickly. I collected the car the following weekend and returned home. The following day, I opened the bonnet up because the car was sounding very ropy and found that a piece of trim that covers the front of the engine bay was broken and had been badly glued back together, in addition the turbo heat shield was completely missing. My wife phoned the company to find out what was going on and was met by a very rude response which suggested that we had damaged the trim and the heat shield was in no condition to be reattached. The following day we had to call out the RAC once more, as the car completely lost power. The RAC mechanic found that the pipes surrounding the turbo had come loose, as they had not been correctly fitted. Once the pipes were properly tightened all seemed well. The next day we had to pull over as the engine splash guard had fallen and was now being dragged on the road, nearly ripping off the front bumper. We decided the contact the garage to get the issues resolved, however, we again got through the Gary the garage manager, as was met with the same excuses and told that we were to blame for all the issues and should be thankful for all they had done for us. I have never encountered such a poor level of service from a garage before. You have been warned!
