About Us

Brief description

From the modest beginnings of a one man band in 1985, JP Handy (Forestry) has expanded to become the area's foremost Tree Surgery and Woodland Management Company. It now has two distinct departments. Arboriculture, which deals with the care, maintenance and removal of trees in small numbers and forestry as the second department which provides a comprehensive service for woodland owners, from establishing new woodlands right trough to maturity. The company has a full time arboricultural team of 3 to 5 men, all trained and certificated or under training. The forestry work is carried out by a core of specialist sub-contractors who operate more specialist machinery or are skilled at manual work such as planting or spraying. JP Handy (Forestry) became JPH Forestry Ltd. in 2003 but still trades under its old name. Furthermore, the Company has a formal Health and Safety Policy.
